Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

January 11, 2017

 

 

Attendance: Doug Dick, Jessica Sullivan, Pat Acquisto, Lisa Roggeman, Greg Roggeman, Janet Desnoyer, Milton Murry, Lindsay Alsop

 

 

The minutes to the November meeting were approved.

 

The vice-president and treasurer positions are open for vote in March.

 

Union United Church will be closing as of June 4. It was discussed and decided that future general membership meetings will be held at either Epiphany or Timothy Lutheran, with Epiphany taking priority.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Presented by email on Jan 15, 2017. 4th quarter presented a net loss of $1,947.32. Net income for the year = $6,375.11. Total CD = $6,446.15, total Cash = $24,711.94.

Lindsay is still waiting for a check from Murray’s Shaved Ice and the landscaping money from the city.

 

CID Update – Lindsay met with Tom Oldenberg, VP of STL Hills N.A. and a representative from Schnucks. The recommendation to the board at this time is to not move forward until we have more info on the proposed sales tax increase by the city.

 

Membership – Jessica and Lindsay will coordinate phone calls and distribution of decals.

 

SLACO – They are reorganizing the by-laws to change the number of board members. The vacant building proposal brought about by petition will be on the April ballot.

 

Events – Tweetup at Aries on January 24. Emily Yale is booking the bands for the concert series and Greg is booking food trucks.

 

Zoning – Gorillaz Sports Bar did not get a liquor license. Fellow Musician received conditional use.

No new info on Circle K.

 

Streets & Property – 6977 Pernod is in court. 6931 Marquette being redeveloped.

 

Block Captains – A bowling party is being planned for February.

 

Chik-Fil-A is moving forward for opening in the Fall.   Plans for a Marketing Committee tabled until February meeting.
